Day thirteen: markets and mamma mia

Today is Hellville market day. I planned on coming with S, A and E to go to the market, which I was really excited about. I ate some breakfast before getting the 6.30 boat to Hellville. Here we went to Casa Mofo to get some food, charge our stuff and use the wifi, to wait until 10. We were meeting Artina, a  staff member and local who knew a place to get traditional Malagasy clothing. I got some chocolate cake to eat at the cafe, very good. S and I went to the ATM to take out some money and to the supermarket in front of the cafe. She needed her much needed peanut butter, and I needen some soap to wash my clothes (I got a big block). D decided to tag along with us for the day.

At 10 we went to meet Artina and got a traditional dress. Then we continued walking down the market. The market was moatly local stuff and food, so we went to an inside market afterwards. It was really cute, with a lot of great stuff! We just continued shopping around for a bit, and after a while went to grab lunch at a good pizza place: les Siciliens. It was a really good pizza and I had some fresh Korsol juice. Very nice. After that we went to Casa Mofo again to say goodbye to An and H. Apart from that we just sat and waited at the cafe for the boat back, but Eric (they guy who arranges them) wasn't answering. Eventually we just decided to go to the port and see if we could find him. At port we found the man that drives our boat most of the time and asked him. He could bring us, so that was nice! Once back at camp, we decided to go swimming first. It was great, wr just swam around and I chatted with S for quite some time. Then, just before dinner, we went back to take a quick shower (for me via a bucket this time, because that one shower is broken). 

After dinner we chatted for a bit and I went over to Emile, who was sitting alone. We talked for some time about different things, including education and how it works in Madagascar and the fact that he's learning English and really wants to go to university. It was nice chatting with him.

Then I went down to main house, where we were going to watch mamma mia. We put all the bean bags in place and sat my tablet up. It was a great evening, I love watching mamma mia together. We were all very tired though, so a little more than halfway through, we decided to go to bed. I went to bed in a quiet, empty cabin. That was really nice for a change, I could just listen to music and do my own thing.
